I remember the big earthquake in 1990, I believe. I had an easel and was drawing in my living room when all of a sudden it happened. Everything started shaking. My grandma was with me and she told me to go under the table, which I did. I remember clutching onto my yellow crayon (I was drawing Big Bird) so tight that it broke in half. It was a sad and scary day. A few years ago I had experienced the big earthquake in San Jose. I was in the library on the 6th floor. I was by myself in a single table that hugged the walls of the library. No one was around me. Sitting down, I felt the earthquake. It was big. I got up, sort of shocked/panicked. Didn’t know what to do. Then saw people across the hall going under their tables. Which I did. The earthquake was so strong, and the library was built to sway with an earthquake. So I felt like it was going to tip over. I peak out from under the table and see all the books falling off the shelves. Dust from the ceiling falling down onto the floor. It finally stopped. Said bye to whoever I was talking to on AIM. Packed my stuff and left. I probably will never leave anything behind. Never know what will happen to it. While leaving, saw a togge hella panicking and hyperventilating. Kinda chuckled. Crazy experience though. Found my friends after on campus and we talked an laughed about what just happened and our experience with it. I’ve always wanted to blog about that incident.
